The Biggest Lie


This author has an interesting take on turning around our typical view of what it takes to be happy.  He starts out with what is, in his view, the biggest lie. He suggests . . .

To be happy, I need more. To get more, I need to get rich. To get rich, I need a job. That is by far the biggest lie.

From here, Keinosuke Johan Miyanaga on Quora, goes on to explain how just maybe, we have it backwards and we should focus instead on helping others.

With most major nations struggling with how to turn their economies around in the face of the limits of consumerism, there is a way to shift our emphasis from consumption to service. What do you think?
